Love Aid
fidgeted around uneasily. Although she had her eyes focus on the juniors in the tennis club, her mind was elsewhere. She mentally slapped herself for her improper behaviours despite her position as the captain of Seigaku's girls tennis club. The third year wished that she could just skip practice and run to the other courts where the boys tennis club was having a ranking match.
"You know you should just go if you wanted to see their match that badly." , the vice-captain of the girls tennis club said with a chuckle. had been friends with since elementary school and being the captain's best friend, it was easy to read what was on 's mind. The captain threw a death glare and leaned against the green fence surrounding the courts. She sighed as she recalled what happened a week ago.

and had been invited to Fuji Syusuke, Seigaku's boys tennis club's prodigy and number two player's birthday bash. and Fuji have been childhood friends and they have been really close. That evening, she had gone over to the Fujis to help out. Fuji who was tired out from the afternoon's training was taking a nap in his room and Yumiko had asked the brunette to wake her sleeping brother up. slowly opened the pinewood door and gently closed it behind her. She smiled softly as she squatted by the bed and stared at the sleeping form. Even in sleep, Fuji still could look so handsome. Without knowing it, the captain planted a soft kiss on the blue eyed's forehead. All of a sudden, a pair of hands hugged her from the back and when she opened her eyes, found Fuji on top of her.
"Maa... I didn't know you like to kiss people when they are sleeping." Fuji smirked.
"Syusuke wait... that kiss was..." before could finish her words, Fuji sealed her lips with a passionate kiss, his tongue teasing hers and exploring her mouth. wondered if currently she was dreaming. She had liked Fuji ever since she understood what love was all about. Fuji would normally looked as if he had his eyes closed but when he did opened them, his baby blue eyes that were so exotic and mysterious captivated her and she found herself addicted to them. The kiss was like eternal and as they slowly parted, the brunette found Fuji staring at her with those baby blue eyes, his trademark smile as usual was on his face.
"Next week I'll be having a match with Tezuka... if I win... date me." The prodigy whispered softly as he leaned in to kiss again.
And now, a week later, wondered why Fuji had wanted to use a match to determine the outcome of their relationship. The prodigy should know fully well of her affections and she would have said yes that very day without having to wait for the outcome of the match.
"All right. You guys have self-practice. I'll be going with captain to settle some er... problems." 's voice echoed through the courts, pulling out from her thoughts. gave her best friend a smile as she dragged towards the boys tennis club.
By the time they reached the club, it seems that Fuji was losing badly. The brunette could feel her heart ached as she watched Tezuka break Fuji's special moves that the prodigy had taken so long to master. 's eyes widen in shock as the game set as seven games to six, with Tezuka emerging as the winner.
What shocked her was not the outcome of the game, but the drop of tears that rolled down from Fuji's blue eyes. She soon found herself crying along with the prodigy as hugged her and comforted her. The vice-captain wondered if she should feel sad for her best friend or be happy that Tezuka, her boyfriend, won the match against Fuji. waved at Tezuka and pulled into the courts. Fuji, who had just noticed the girls' presence, hurriedly dried his eyes and smiled weakly. There was an awkward silence that filled the air, which was only known to the two childhood friends.
"It was a beautiful game, you did really well." said when she accompanied Fuji to the clubroom. Fuji mumbled a thank you and closed the clubroom door behind him. was wondering what to say when the prodigy pulled her close and hugged her tightly.
"I lost I guess, along with my chance to date you." Fuji said sadly, burying his head against the captain's soft brown hair.
"So are you saying that our relationship has to be determined by a match? That you are going to give up on me and let the other guys chase and date me?" pulled away and gave the blue eyed an angry pout.
"You mean you will date me? Then what about Tezuka?" Fuji inquired, his baby blue eyes snapped opened and filled with query.
"Tezuka? He is dating for heaven sake! Now what absurd stuff had you heard?" wrapped her arms around Fuji's neck, sounding rather amused.
"Tezuka said that he wanted me to be serious for this match and whoever who wins the match will get to date you. To come and think of it now, Tezuka would never say stuff like these." wondered if she should laugh the whole matter off or get pissed with it. She had a feeling that the whole thing was connected to because there was no way the stoic captain of the boys tennis club would have such words coming out from his mouth. It was even impossible with the fact that , who was known to be the fieriest girl in Seishun Gakuen, was Tezuka's girlfriend.
"Oh ok then shall I go date Tezuka then? And tell him that although he's my boyfriend, a baka name Fuji Syusuke had stolen my first kiss before him?" A faint pink creep across 's face as she walked towards the door, pretending to turn the doorknob. Fuji hurriedly turned the brunette towards him and pinned her against the pinewood door, a genuine smile appeared on his face.
"From now on, you're locked to me. I'm not gonna give you to anyone else. I already lost in tennis to Tezuka I don't wanna lose you to him as well. But just a warning first, you won't be able to escape because there's no key to this lock..." Fuji said in a seductive tone.
"I guess it's not that bad of a thing to be locked to you, Syusuke... and I don't plan to get unlock either." tugged the collar of Fuji's jersey and pulled him down for a long demanding kiss. It was a kiss that made Fuji understand just how much the girl in his arms loved him and one that assured that everything before her was reality.
Meanwhile, who was listening to the couple's conversation giggled mischievously. Tezuka sighed and leaned against the concrete wall, wondering why in the first place he had agreed to trick Fuji. Apparently the bespectacled had told that he would have a ranking match with Fuji and was hoping that the latter would be serious about the whole match. Knowing the relationship between Fuji and her best friend and the fact that he was oblivious about Tezuka dating her, the vice-captain began plotting the whole "masterpiece" which made Tezuka wonder if he was dating a female version of Fuji. definitely was a sadist, and probably worst than his fellow teammate.
"Kunimitsu see my plan worked out after all! I even had to sacrifice myself and lead Fuji into thinking that you like ! I'm a great friend aren't I?" giggled as she poked Tezuka's face playfully.
"You're so going to get a punishment you know and you sacrificed your boyfriend not yourself. Fuji looked like he was about to kill me when I won the match." Tezuka growled. gave the captain a quick kiss and looked at him apologetically. Sighing, the stoic captain of the boys tennis club kissed his girlfriend back. He just could not bring himself to be angry with .
Sometimes, a little help is all love needs, for a new beginning of romance.
